Finally, yes finally, we have had a white Christmas! (Well, a snowy boxing day, but that still counts). I managed to take a few photographs using my camera, but the sheer anxiety of getting wet meant that I wasn’t able to take very good shots. Nevertheless, here are a few that I took on my phone! Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday 🙂
A wide variety of formage at Les marchés de Versailles; a beautiful view that can be experienced at the top of Printemps on the terrace bar; some gingerbread cookies that I made for my last day of school. The main Christmas Tree that you encounter in the Town Square of the Main Street, USA, in Disneyland Paris; Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland Paris; a festive shop display at Au Roi Soleil, a boutique Chocolatiers. The weather has been pretty dismal, as I am sure many of you know! Yesterday the river Mersey was somewhat distempered, and with some mighty huge waves. Here’s a photo that I took right before a wave swooped over the rails and got my shoes all wet; not fun. So tomorrow I leave the confines and comforts of home life, to go back to York to tackle my Death and Devotion exam. The exams this year take the form of a 48 hour open exam – basically writing two 1500 word essays over two days. Gulp. Wish me luck.
